"FIND YOURSELF IN THE
SERVICE OF OTHERS."

Lonestars Give Back

Service is the backbone of our organization; Texas Lonestars is a registered service organization at the University of Texas at Austin, and we claim service as one of our three primary pillars. We volunteer at numerous events in the city of Austin and around campus with other organizations, and we absolutely love being part of such a phenomenal community! Lonestars have the opportunity to venture out and volunteer at various places that inspire us and further our passions such as the Austin Animal Center, Texas THON, PALS, Inside Books Project, and Feed My People. The service requirements that every Lonestar must fulfill are completing 15 hours of service per semester as an active Lonestar or 20 hours of service per semester as a Starlette. The majority of these hours are to be performed with other Lonestars in order to strengthen our sisterhood through serving the community.

If you have any questions regarding our service or would like to reach out regarding a volunteer opportunity, please contact our Service Chair at texaslonestarsservice@gmail.com.

PROJECT PRINCESS

Project Princess is a non-profit organization that provides high school girls in the Austin area an opportunity to attend their prom by relieving some of the costly expenses at our Boutique Day in the Spring. On this special weekend, each girl is paired with their own personal shopper and allowed to select a dress, pair of shoes, and accessories for her special night. We also provide several other services such as make-up suggestions, a goodie bag with donations from the Austin community, and a memory picture to remember this special day. Every year we raise money through projects such as our Project Princess Benefit Concert, Project Princess 5K, Project Princess BBQs, and Paddle for Project Princess in order to host our major event, Boutique Day. With philanthropy at the heart of our organization, we are able to make every girl feel like a princess.

If you have any questions regarding our philanthropy, Project Princess, or would like to donate, please contact our Project Princess Directors at texaslonestarsppdirector@gmail.com.
